After a month off, tried to cut the grass and the sufficiently high gas with its old gas mower. From rope broke, and it took a couple of days to repair the gym all the time getting bigger. I bought a black & Decker mowers, line 36-volt battery in the Amazon on Thursday. They sent a unit and received it the following Saturday. Unfortunately, it has been damaged and I was forced to return unused. I rearrange the mower seconds on Monday and got a new lawn mower on Thursday it is ready to get out of the box. I am a night charge (recommended) and I was pleasantly surprised to easily act on the mower very grass.I have used this mower a few times since I've been very happy with the product and the Amazon, which covers the beginning of a defective product. Pressing the button, and no seat belt is more desirable than the spilling of oil, gas check, and pull on the rope, but maybe you should think about the Black & Decker Battery CM1936 fact that there mower.The Bonus exhaust pollution.

I like this product. I ended up tying the "key" to a handle bar cross bar w/ a piece of acc. cord (easier to keep track of). It seems to use more power (battery charge) when mulching. I use the bag frame and take the mulch plug out allowing the grass to blow out of the back and, as long as the discharge shoot doesn't get clogged, the mower seems to use less charge. I have found that when I unplug the battery for a short time, when it is fully charged, and plug it back in, the charger shows a red light for a short time then a green light which goes out after a second or 2 then the red light green light process starts over and over.... If I leave it unplugged for a bit longer then plug it back in it works fine, no red light green light process, just a short term red light then back to a solid green light. 
I have owned a plug in (corded) mower in the past that when it was "bogged down" in the least the motor would fry and then was useless. I have bogged this mower to the point of almost stopping it and there were no adverse effects. I hope this has helped you lead a more fruitful and productive life? "thank you, come again"

Far Better Mower Than Expected!

My husband and I researched every article we could find on cordless mowers and finally settled on this one. I absolutely love it! I go out to the garage and in seconds the mower is on, lowered or raised (the easiest I have EVER seen), and I'm off. No smell, no pulling strings, no pollution, no worrying about having gas in the garage. It performs far better than I expected. For example, I expected it to run of out charge fairly quick given I have a fairly large backyard (small front yard). I have yet to run out of charge or even see some slow down. It's amazing and so incredibly easy. This lawnmower is worth every penny and more. It doesn't kick things up in my face either. 

The only caviat is that you can't let your grass get too high or it will falter a bit. This is not for moving high grass or weeds. For standard lawns, it's great. And its another way I can tell BP and the rest of the oil industry to go to hell.

I always follow the recommendations of Consumer Reports...I never buy anything unless it's rated highest in that magazine--never been disappointed. Well, they got it exactly right--this mower is terrific in every way: hangling, operation and the cut itself...the only downside is (and I assume it's common) is it's a little heavy so it would be helpful to be fit to push it around. I had a cord electric for years. B & D lasts lasts and lasts...It was the best to get now--far superior to any gas mower (as long as your property has about 1/3 acre of grass, GET THIS! The price is justified. I'm very happy indeed with this mower!!!!!!

Excellent Mower

I bought this mower for environmental and convenience reasons primarily. 
It has lived up to the advertisements in every way. 
I live in a rental home with no garage, but rather a shed for storage with no electrical connection. 
Being able to remove the battery (a cinch) and charge inside is great. 
Battery life is great (I sometimes do my neighbors on the same charge) and the mower is powerful and quiet. 
No smell, no turn-ups, no gas and oil. This is a great product for me!

Took a bit of a risk...

I purchased this mower off of Amazon a few weeks ago and have mowed my yard twice now. 

In the past I've always had gas mowers but when we moved across country I left the old one there. In looking for a replacement, I began to think through what I liked and disliked about previous mowers. In the end, it really came down to not wanting to deal with all the gas/oil and noise I had become accustomed to and frankly to try something different. 
Well, at least after a month, I feel like my shopping around, reading reviews and digging into the details was successful. We have about 9-10,000sq ft of lawn spread over 4 different plots and it mows them just fine with juice to spare. I generally put the mower on the top 2 height settings so it doesnt bog down and it mulches the grass up nicely. 
Overall, I'm very satisified with this purchase.

Excellent Cordless Electric Mower!!

After using this lawn mower, I will never go back to a gas powered mower again. The smell and the hassel of running out of gas in the middle of mowing is enough for me to make the switch! This mower has so many wonderful features that make it easy for anyone to use that I highly recommend it! 

This cordless electric lawn mower has a very easy to charge removable battery. You can either charge the battery in the mower or take it out and charge it in the garage. It's very easy to collapse by just pushing the handle over and it takes up minimal space anywhere you store it! 

I also love the fact that this lawn mower does both our front and back yard on one battery charge! Once the yard is done, I just make sure to recharge the battery right after so it's ready to go the next time, it's all set. While the mower is running it's very quiet and extremely easy to start. 

If you're ready to give up your gas lawn mower and "go greener" this is the exact mower to do it with! I absolutely love mine! If you're on the fence, I highly recommend this mower to everyone!

I used the original B&D CMM1000 for 12 years without any problems. It needed no maintenance, and even the blade rarely needed sharpening. After all this time, the battery finally wouldn't take a full charge this year, so I decided to put the cost of a new battery ($125, it's actually two 12 volts in series) towards a new mower. There weren't many cordless mowers 12 years ago, now there seem to be a bunch, but based on my good experience with the older model I decided go with the CM1936. The CM1936 is a dandy mower, alot like the CMM1000 but with a 36 volt removable battery. 

My lot is around 1/3 acre, less the footprint of my house and shed. Alot of starting and stopping and picky mowing around my wife's vegetable beds, flower gardens, etc. The CM1936 mows it all without losing power, which it has plenty of. Starts right up, runs quiet, especially when mulching. A single height adjuster takes care of all the wheels. (Hard to believe there are still mowers that make you adjust each wheel separately.) It's really handy to be able to charge the battery somewhere other than where the mower is stored. This looks to be another no-maintenance mower. Unplug it, mow, plug it back in. What more could you ask for. The only con I can think of is the blade seemed a bit dull out of the box. 

Give up that stinky gas mower. Go cordless.

I can't say enough about what a great mower this is and how much we like it. The first thing that comes to mind is just how EASY it is to start this mower by simply pushing the start button and engaging the safety handle. No more of the old pull-start mower that was so difficult and frustrating! And, of course, there's no messy gasoline or oil with this mower. The 36-volt battery is easily installed and is easily removed for charging. The battery can be charged while still in the mower, but it works well for us to take it out for charging. As the owner's manual says, the battery should be left plugged in at all times when it's not in use. This will give the longest battery life and will ensure that it's fully charged when you're ready to mow. We have 1.6 acres, and my husband mows the large areas with our Farmall A tractor, but I use our Black & Decker cordless for all of the trim mowing and for areas around our house and around our large, fenced garden. This mower cuts right through the heaviest grass with no problems, and I typically mow for at least two hours or longer with no loss of battery power. The first time I used this mower, I was amazed at just how long I could mow without the battery running down! It can be used as a mulching mower, but we use the grass catcher so that we can add the grass to our compost. The bag works great and is very easy to remove to empty the grass clippings. The height adjustment is unbelievably easy!! Just one handle quickly raises or lowers the mowing deck, so you can make adjustments as needed if you come to an area of high, tough grass. There's much less noise with this mower than with a gas-powered mower, and even though it's not self-propelled, I have found that the mowing is so easy that I don't mind doing the pushing. Honestly, I can say this is by far the BEST hand mower that we've ever used. It has everything we want--ease of operation, excellent cutting, no fumes, no frustrating pull start, and much less noise. Truthfully, I cannot think of one single drawback to this mower. One additional thought: For us, environmental concerns are very important, so we're very happy to have a mower that doesn't use gas or oil. We're transitioning to solar and wind power here at our home, and that will make this a zero carbon emissions mower. If this is something that's important to you, then it's one more reason to consider buying this fantastic mower. My husband and I highly recommend it!
