Omni Racer
looking for assistance with a street legal racing dodge omni;?

1st what are my options for a roll cage keeping in mind that it has to be light as possible and still do its job just in case. 2nd what can be done to the under carriage, engine, and transmission for a street legal rally racer? and 3rd what are some good web sights and books i can read and turn to for customizing my omni?

There is really only one book for turbododges. It is sold by Mopar Performance and I think its in the 4th edition now. It is a good read and a good source for torque values and specs.

You can visit http://www.turbo-mopar.com Its the best forum for a car like yours.

The http://www.thedodgegarage.com/ is a great site. Its a good primer for your car.

As for the roll cage. You need to read the rules of whatever sanctioning body you plan to race with. Then find a shop that is fimilar those rules to make a roll cage for you. I know autopower makes a bolt-in cage.
